Dinah Solomon Stevenson 1942-2024
Dinah Solomon Stevenson, esteemed children’s editor and former publisher of Clarion Books, died on January 23 in Hoboken, N.J. She was 81. Dinah, a graduate of New York’s Elisabeth Irwin High School, received her degrees in English Literature at the University of Chicago. In her 30 years at Clarion Books Dinah was lauded for being a keen spotter of talent and for shepherding numerous books and authors to the industry’s highest accolades. A Hoboken resident for over 50 years, to her friends and neighbors Dinah was known for her love of music, travel, and hosting memorable gatherings in her beloved townhouse.
