Technology for Loan at the Hoboken Public Library

The Hoboken Public Library has a variety of technology available to Hoboken residents to borrow. You can reserve a device here. If you need assistance please stop by the second-floor reference desk at the main branch, call (201)-420-2346 x 5101 or email reference@hoboken.bccls.org.

Electronic Devices Circulation Policy

Wi-Fi Hotspots and Chromebooks are available at the information desk for Hoboken Library Residents over 18 years of age with library cards. Patrons will need to have their library card to borrow the items. Patrons may not download any material onto the devices and they should be returned in the condition that they are circulated in. There is a penalty for violating policy. If the items are damaged or not returned you will be charged for the cost of the device. Patrons must return all of these electronic devices to the second-floor reference desk. There will be a $5.00 per day fine for items that are overdue.

Chromebooks and Wi-Fi Hotspots

Chromebooks and Wi-Fi Hotspots are available to borrow for up to two weeks. After an item is returned there is a two week wait before that item can be borrowed again in order to ensure all of our patrons have a chance to borrow the devices.

Laptops and Chargers

Laptops and Chargers are available for in library use only. PC Laptops and Chargers are available from the vending kiosk at the second floor vestibule of the main branch. Items from the vending device should be returned to the device.

Please note: Only one device per patron may be checked out at a time.

If you have any questions, please contact us at (201) 420-2346 x 5101 or email us: reference@hoboken.bccls.org.
