FAQs:

What do I need to know before coming in?

This is a self-led design space! We’ll teach you what you need to know, and answer any questions, but the actual crafting will all come from your hands!

While you are always welcome to brainstorm in the Makerspace, we usually suggest coming in with at least a general idea to start with!

How much does it cost?

The Makerspace itself, and use of our equipment, is totally free! The materials you’ll need for different projects may vary in cost and availability if you want to purchase them through the Makerspace itself. Click here for a full pricing list.

Can I bring my own materials?

Yes!! We encourage bringing your own materials to craft with. If you want to ensure compatibility, feel free to reach out to us via email or phone.

Common materials used with the heat presses are iron-on vinyl, printable iron-on papers, and ink sublimation.

How long will it take?

It depends! Different factors such as how long you spend designing, how many items you want to make, and how busy the Makerspace is at a given time can all greatly influence how much time you spend with us.

Typically, however, the average time to press a design with a heat press is 30sec – 3mins.

Do I need to know how to use the equipment in advance?

Nope! You’re welcome to do your own research, but we are here to guide you on use and safety, so there’s no need to have prior knowledge or experience when coming to use the Makerspace.
